More delicate and floral than the apple variety. The pear cider vinegar is aged in Calvados barrels, which gives it a slightly funky touch and a soft, almost wine-like character. Think of it as a Nordic alternative to a fine white wine vinegar.
Pear cider vinegar from Bornholm Vinegar is a soft and fruity vinegar that captures the essence of juicy pears. Rounder and milder than the somewhat more well-known apple cider vinegar. It is ideal for desserts, salads, or as a base for your very own infused vinegar gastrique.
Use it for: Salad dressings with mild cheeses, lightly acidified sauces for fish and seafood, or as a base in an elegant vinaigrette with our olive oil from Crete.
Dessert topping:
Drizzle pear cider vinegar over ice cream or Greek yogurt for an extra dimension.
Salad dressing:
